"Vested Vaper" criteria poll

The info marked with an * at the bottom contains some answers to questions that were asked in that thread. If you wish to make a post, please do so in the discussion thread rather than in this poll thread so that all discussion is in the same place.

Even though it may seem like a lot to take in, please please take the time to carefully read and consider all option descriptions before you vote.

VV's are tagged to protect members by letting them know when a person is involved in the retail distribution of supplies used for vaping, which MAY cause their posts to be biased by financial considerations. VV's are also tagged to protect the vendors by giving them a way to show they have identified themselves to us and have agreed to follow our rules regarding marketing on Vapers Forum. We'd like to get our members' opinions on how much the tagging criteria should cover so that we can finalize our written guidelines.

Due to the fact that the option descriptions will not fit as poll choices themselves, the detailed options are laid out in this post.

1) If a member qualifies as one of the following, they MUST send a Private Message to one of the admins immediately.

This includes members who own an ecig/liquid business, members who work for an ecig/liquid business (includes affiliate codes for those businesses), or members who supply the ecig/liquid businesses.

2) If a member qualifies as one of the following, they MUST send a Private Message to one of the admins immediately.

This includes manufacturers, sellers, employees or family members financially connected to the commercial sale of PV units or components, mods, e-liquids, DiY vaping supplies, those who own a website that displays banner ads for a vendor's store or have affiliates codes for the aforementioned, and anyone whose items are sold by a member who fits the above criteria.

Unless their items are sold by a member who fits the above criteria, this does not include members who sell only accessories such as custom cases, lanyards, t-shirts, stickers, etc. Members who offer those types of "swag" will disclose that information in their signatures and follow VV rules when posting information regarding their items.

3) If a member qualifies as one of the following, they MUST send a Private Message to one of the admins immediately.

> Vendor: Manufacturers, sellers, employees or family members financially connected to the commercial sale of one or more of the following: PV units or components, mods, e-liquids, DiY vaping supplies.

> Affiliate: Has an affiliate code with which they earn compensation.

> Web Associate: Owns a website that contains banner ads for vendor's stores.

> Swag Supplier: Sells only items such as t-shirts, stickers, lanyards, custom cases, etc that do not endorse any particular PV supply Vendor.

> Org B.o.D.: Member of the Board of Directors for a PV-related organization. The organization as a whole may or may not receive vendor donations.

*For the purposes of these guidelines the following applies: In option 1, all who meet the criteria for being tagged will receive the same title under their user names. In option 2, all who meet the criteria for being tagged will receive the same title under their user names. In option 3, all who meet the criteria for being tagged will receive the title that best describes the deepest level of their personal financial benefit from PV-related commerce (however, people like Kristin will be titled both "Swag Supplier" and "Org B.o.D."). Members who receive compensation in exchange for guaranteed positive reviews are considered employees of the company with whom they have the arrangement. Ecig, PV units, and PV components include stock units, "mods" (individually or factory produced), attys, batteries, passthroughs, drip tips, etc. Members selling their personal PV items as "one offs" in the Classifieds will not be tagged.
